After moving to Los Angeles, CA in 2015, just a lone classically trained singer, he joined the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles. Here he successfully stood out as a soloist and his performance in the group landed him his first session gig for BMG recordings. After continued session work, various gigs around LA, and a year-long stint living out of his car to build his studio, his next biggest professional moment would come in late 2018 singing background for Atlantic Records artist MILCK on her track titled "A Little Peace" where he also appears as a soloist in the accompanying video. He would go on to accompany MILCK as a featured live background singer well into 2019 for events such as the LA Women's March and charity fundraiser for human right's organization Equality Now at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
Using all that he has learned the past couple of years, KAI XO is finally ready to tell his own story, in his own words, through his own music. His namesake track, "XO" is just the beginning.
He is currently working on a new single to be released in April.
